POC SHORT

The proof of concept short film was shot in September 2021 in Brisbane, Queensland, with a local cast and crew. The shoot took place across four days and four main locations where special effects, action sequences and stunts were attained under highly professional supervision. The plot conveys the two distinct timelines in Rafat Khan/ Hassan Jalbani's life, displaying events in his earlier London years which lead to his abduction in Brisbane some time later.

Finance for the film was raised by EPs Shekar Mani and Mike Holmberg, which enabled Writer/Director James Lingwood and Producers Olivia Gane and Adam Kirk to assemble a fantastic team of committed, enthusiastic creatives to deliver a high quality 15 minute film.

The film has now won a number of awards and been nominated for numerous others, including Best Short wins at Mumbai International Film Festival, Global Shorts, and 4 Theatre Selection. It was also a Finalist at Dubai International Film Festival and Mykonos International Film Festival.
